Allright yesterday I took my 97' eclipse in for 60,000 mile service. When I called the day before to make the appointment, I TOLD HIM I WANTED THE TIMING BELT REPLACED. He said okay bring it in and that it would take a few hours. O.k. When I got there I told him that the drive belt was squelling really bad. He said that he would have the guys in the shop look at it for me. After 4 hours of waiting I picked up the car. Then I found out the bad news......

Total cost: $375.00
Parts: $104.00
Labor: $290.00

Then I was told that I need to bring back my car in the next 10,000 miles to have the TIMING BELT replaced. I was like WHAT THE F@$K thats the reason I brought my car in. Then he says it will be another 400 friggn dollars to have the timing belt replaced. While I'll have to pay twice for having to take my drive belt off.

This really just pissed me off, I been to Sport Mitsuibishi a couple of times and they've been reasonable with their prices. If I knew I was going to get screwed this badly, I would have just gone to the dip$hit$ at Hollar.

Sorry so friggn long guys, anybody know where I can get my timing belt replaced for a reasonable price.

Next time, find out who among us can do the job, be patient, and let him (THE CHADSTER) take care of it. Guys, you are spending way to much money going to the dealer. So what if they specialize in Mitsu, Chad could be a tech. for them if he wanted to. That pisses me off when Satan over charges you for a small job.

Chad can be reached at UndrPsi@cfl.rr.com and ask him for the help.

Thanks for the info. man, I think I'll hit him up or there's another shop in town my friend told me to go that charged way less for him when he took his car in. Ya Satan can really stick it to ya. When I was there I asked if they could put the 2 piece slide for the sunroof back in for me. (It had popped out a few months back and I couldn't figure out how it fit back in place.) He looked at it and said the spring was broken on something and that I would have to buy the whole friggen kit for another $100. F@#k that I'll leave the beeouch out for that price.:bird: (Who needs it anyway!)
