Got to OSW late Friday night. I made only one run and bogged the car on the launch.
On the way back into town on 50 I spot a 02 Z28 with the following sticker on the back "VTEC THIS". I'm not a VTEC but he definitely needs a lesson ;) I come up next to him at about 55 mph. I look over and down shift to 3rd. He hears the engine rev up and he goes for it. By the top of third I had at least a car shift to 4th and starts pulling him hard. Not even close. I slow down again and he comes for more. This time I let him go first. Pull past him by the end of third and pulling strong in 4th, this time I stick my arm out the window taunting him to pass me. :p After that he stayed behind me.
Turn onto Alafaya and go cruise a bit. We end up on 436 and and head north. Suddenly out by the Mitsu dealer 2 stangs come up behind me looking to play. We go from third gear. Never saw them again. :D Slowled down for the red light. I'm in the center 93 lx on the right, 95 5.0 GT on the left. Hmmmmm to studder launch or not that is the question?? What the hell.....:D Pin the gas pedal when I see the cross road turn yellow. Light goes green and I let them get the jump. I slip the clutch and I quickly take up the lead and make even by 1st gear, shift to second and all I can see and hear is the open road.....no cars on left or right.;) Should I continue??? I though. Yeah why not, shift to 3rd and I can barely make out their head lights in my rear view mirror.:angel:
We let off and the came up next to me. They were nice guys and wanted to tell me how much they liked the car. Interestingly enough I had a few people who were watching us give me the thumbs up.:cool:
So that's all. Turned around and went home. Best night racing in a long time.
P.S. Does this qualify as a Trifecta??? I was never lucky at gambling!!! :lol:
