Ok, encounter my first problem.... here it is:

I did not drive my car for 4 days (was just busy at work).. last night when I when to start it, it wouldn't start... battery was dead... tried to jump start it, nothing... car started acting weird... fans when on, wipers on, when everything was supposed to be off...
I pulled the battery out and it was dead, acid coming off the sides.... when to discount auto to get a cheap replacement for now... installed the new battery and the car started perfect BUT now I have what it looks like either electrical problem or something with the factory alarm.... the car starts and drives ok but there is no power to the radio, ac, power windows, locks, etc... the dash lights work fine but when I turn on the head lights the horn starts blowing like if the alarm system would turn on... (car still running) , .. there in no way to stop the horn but by disconnecting the battery... !?.... this is wierd.. any help? what can cause electrical problems? ECU? I checked all the fuses under the dash and they are ok.... I am clueless.... HELP!!

Here we go again!

Welcome back to DSMs, Hendrik. You may also want to check the ECU caps, just to be sure. I've heard it is only a matter of time before they leak, and that the problem is not isolated only to DSM ECUs but that several other Mitsu models suffer(ed) from the same deal.

Otherwise, it definitely sounds like an issue with the alarm to me - but I am partially electrically retarded. ;) Good luck.
