Here is the story.. I bought a Boost gauge off of the Parts Trader from a guy named Ernie Lyons. I had his phone number address and so on, so I sent him a check. Well about 2 weeks later I get a box and instead of a boost gauge it was a peak hold egt with probe. He calls me up and said he sold the boost gauge and EGT in the same day but sent the wrong gauge to the wrong person. He asked me to ship it to the other guy and he would send me a check for the shipping. I did it and have never seen my Boost gauge since. Erie has not responded to my e-mails either. Look the gauge was only 50 dollars but that is not the point. I in good faith sent the more expensive gauge off to fix his mistake and then he screws me. I am sure the other guys just kept both gauges. I have been trying to contact him and get my money back since November. I expressed to him my concern for sending the gauge and he assured me he would make it right if this guy welched. His name is Ernie Lyon II and his address is
12449 Bohannon Blvd
Orlando, FL 32824
E-mail is fastawdtsi@yahoo.com

Todd,
You know the status of the Gauge. I don't want to get screw out of the gauge just as much as you do. Here is the reply from Chad Volkert (from Tampa):
Hey Ernie I got his message last night... Give me the moron of the year award..... I thought I had sent it out a long time ago and when I got home last night and got his message I immediately came to work and sure enough its in the bottom drawer of my desk still hidden away. It is definitely going out this afternoon. I totally forgot it was there and its a good thing he called me.
Chad
Now, I'm giving Chad till the beginning of next week to have the gauge at Your Doorstep. If not, I WILL goto the address I sent it too and get the gauge myself. He lives about 45 minutes away (in Tampa). I'm not the type of person who screws people over. I'm friends with 90% of the people on this board, but, I can say that the other 10% of the people on this board know who I am and what kind of person I am.
If you want - just to settle the dispute between 'you and I', I can have your refund in the mail by tomorrow morning. I'll just have to stick the rest out (I should anyway, I screwed up the shipping labels in the first place).
I'm assuming you would like me to do this, so just confirm you would like me to do this and I will.
It's kinda funny too, You were a little worried about paying for this thing with out PayPal and such and I assured you everything would be fine, I just can't believe how much of a problem this has generated. Again, I am sorry for this.

Ernie I have heard from many people that you were a good guy and that you would take care of this but what am I suppose to think when I call for 2 weeks and send numerous e-mails and no response. I orignally sent the money in November. I didn't call or hardly e-mail at all in Dec because I felt like over the holidays you may be busy. I mean it is 50 dollars not 800 so waiting a few extra weeks is no big deal. It's the principle of the matter. All this would have taken is a "Todd this is the e-mail I got... or I am still trying to resolve the issue" But out of all the e-mails I sent I got nothing. At this point if you would just give me my money back I would be happy and no hard feelings.

Ernie,
Did you happen to get the matter resolved with Chad? Also did you happen to send my check? Please let me know.

Ernie won't screw you over, he's a good guy. But I know what you mean about him not calling you back. I have called and left about 3 messages on his voice mail, and he never called me back :bash:

Ernie what is going on? You said you would have this resolved by last Monday so I figured I would not bother you and give you an exta week but yet again I have not heard from you? Please resolve this matter.

Well Chad Volkert sent the gauge so the issues is resolved. Lessons learned 1. Don't go out of your way for anyone you don't know. 2. Don't buy anything from Ernie if you want it before the end of the year. Thanks to all who helped me in this matter especially Jack who tracked down Chad for me.
