Just curious to see if any of you guys are gonna enter the IS2002 show...

Since Keith never reads the boards... does anyone know if he's entering? Carlos... do you know if Julius is gonna be in it?

Julius can't enter becuase he is a judge. There is an NT 2G that usually enters that has alot of exterior and interior mods. Last I judged him he said he was going to turbocharge it. There is also a guy named Hector who has a 2g GSX with a widebody kit, 18g, FMIC, custom mounted AFC, AVC-r , just crazy money in the car but I still haven't seen him compete at the IS Car shows, probably cause he's in Jade.

Keith did compete at the last one and won, but the competition is growing. See you there.

You won't be in a class of your own James. I'm sure you've heard of a WRX. There is a Subaru class. There are plenty WRX's around, including a Blue one from Jade with a C-WEST body kit. It'll be tough if several WRX's enter.

As far as rarest cars in the world, maybe rare in Fla, but I used to see many SVXs in NY.

Umm... How do you figure? Is this based on sales figures, production figures, registered models on the road, or just because you never see them around? :)

I am sure some of us can think of a lot of cars far more rare than the SVX. Heck, I bet I could find 5 different domestic models more rare than the SVX. ;) Think about those factory backed "homologation type" units that only had 500 ever made.

Edit: Hah! Google strikes again! :nerd: According to this link (http://home.mgfairfax.rr.com/svx/faq/) there were upwards of 14,000 sold over 7 years in the US alone. The GVR-4 has you beat big time with only 2,000 offered in the US over 2 years.

damm doing some research there, thorsen,, good good, LOL they arent the rarest ,, maybe weirdest ,, LOL but they are verry hard to find, the galant vr4 is also . well carlos that suxs,, damm those wrx,s LMAO <, hmm can i scrach the subaru symbol and put prototype dsm,, tee hee,, hey carlos u haev to see my new toy ,, it does like 70 mph,, remote controled heli ill bring it to the meet one of these days, and fly it around,
ohh and the svx is verry popular in japan and europe just never caught on in the states, some even speculated there was a turbo AWD 5 speed, just rumours though ,

I have a video of a Silver SVX that was turbocharged and ran 16's. I'll watch the video again and let you know what he actually ran. It was a guy in his 40's racing his dad in a new WRX that ran 15's.

yea theres a local guy with a turbo svx,, what a joke he put in like 4,00 for the turbo kit to run a whole 6 psi and ran mid 14s i think. from what i heard,, for that much u can buy a 1st gen AWD for 3,000$ put a 1,000$ in exhaust /boost controler/ and intake and still kill it,
maybe he just likes the sound, it doesnt mover for anything for shure,

I'll probably go to the show...

My car is still in phase 1 of it's transformation though...

Looks good but not exactly ready for show...

Then again... they still give a trophy for second or third right?:D

Quite a few of us Club3Gers will be meeting at Wal-Mart at about 8:30 for a short caravan over to UCF. If you guys are interested in meeting up and coming with us, by all means :)

You say you're meeting up at 8:30, but just so you know, the hours say 10:00am which is when they will let people in. This event will be completely closed up (roped off or whatever) so that no one can't get in without paying. SO, just giving you a heads up in case you guys get there too early and have to wait till 10am when they open. :jack:

You made a good point, I changed it to 9:30 and hopefully we will start heading over at about 9:45.

Thank you for pointing that out :)

Hope to see some of you all there!

haha... well when you see what I have been spending all my free time on, you will know :)

I don't think I am going to compete this year. Preparing for a car show is a LOT of work. I think I'll just spectate, and enjoy the show.

Enlighten us!

I saw you last night on Aloma at the intersection of Mitchell Hammock. I HATE that intersection ever since they started doing work on it. What a pain in the ass!

I hate that intersection because I always see the stupidest drivers (people running red lights, people stopping in the middle of the intersection, people merging into your lane, etc...)!!! I am pretty sure that you will agree with me on that one Matt. LOL.

Sorry to get off the subject.
