Whos going?
When are we going?
I was under the impression we were going on Saturday but last night I heard that we were going on Friday night. I think that I will be up there on Saturday afternoon and leave Sunday. I dont want to spend 2 nights up there but one night will be fine. I dont think the event will be that great on Friday anyway because it should just be qualifying. Saturday and Sunday it should be good.

It was Shaun who suggested that we leave on Friday night. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Everyone was hot to go, but now no one is talking about it! I want to go, but not if no one else goes. :flamemad:

From experience, I will tell you guys what I recommend:
Get up early Sunday morning, and drive to Gainsville (I am doing just that).
I found out that most DSM'rs that go for the whole weekend to a Racing Event, won't show up again to another event for about another Racing Season,
It will cost you more money and stuff to spend all that time up there.
For those who will drive up Sunday morning, let us know and we can meet up and drive in caravan. May be even have a race or 2, :) .
:frust: Makes sence?

No problem...I know DSMers well (they all want a discount :D )
My opinions on going to the event.
If you only plan on going one day, GO SUNDAY.
For the best time, I'm planning on going on Sat. and Sunday. That way you can see the maximum amount of runs AND it only costs $5 more to go both days.
Just my $0.02

That is awesome Jesus. You are runing your Supra. Looks like there will be a hand full of Supras coming from Orlando to race at Gainsville. Should be a nice event for us expectators.
I won't spoil the party, but an undisclosed test was permormed on a certain Orlando Supra and all I can say is "Holly Cow".
This Supras are "Fast and Furious".

How about a group meet for the FLA DSMer's at a restarunt in G-ville after the NHRA event?
Chilis or Steak and shake comes to mind, but if someone has a better idea with a restaurant with lot of seating that would be great.
We can plan it now and meet there after the Gainsvilles event.

Here is the info please pass it along.
We will be meeting up after the event at Chilis.
Chili's on Archer Rd.
3530 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL
From I-75: Take exit exit #75 (Archer RD) and head EAST. (Right turn from
Northbound, Left turn from Southbound). Drive about 1.5 miles past all the
restaurants. Chili's will be on your left.
From The Gainesville Raceway: Leave the track turning left out of the gate and
head SOUTH on the long road by the track. Drive to the end of the road. You
will see a gas station and a small traffic light intersection. Turn LEFT, drive
up to the light, then make an immediate RIGHT. The road you will be on is US
301 (Waldo Road). Drive SOUTH on this road for about 3-4 miles, you will pass 3
major traffic lights, and turn RIGHT on UNIVERSITY AVENUE. Follow Univ. Ave.
WEST for about 3 miles all the way past the Campus down a winding hill to 34th
STREET. Turn LEFT (SOUTH) on 34th street. Drive SOUTH on this street for about
4 miles STRAIGHT until you come to the MAJOR intersection of 34th street and
ARCHER ROAD. Turn RIGHT on Archer RD, and Chili's will be on your right about
.5 mile down.
Be there for the Big FLA DSM Feast/Meet!
