comin from the track last night where i ran a best of 14.6(woo hoo) but as i was leavin this guy in a lightning came next to me and wanted to race.we raced a couple of times from a roll and i stayed right next to him.i dunno if he was toyin with me or not but it was all stock and wasn't the newest model.

you should have gotten him up over 120!!! That is where you can take them. hehe. I don't know this from experience or anything.:angel:

shaun it wasn't a new new one and chad says the older ones were only like 14's and somewhere in the 90's mph.either that or he was toying with me.

Shaun to answer your question they cut off about 120 on the older lightnings, I raced one back home when I was bone stock and when we hit 120 I pulled past him. So I know what I'm talking about and if you would have READ my post you would have gathered that. LOL. "experience" where do you think I got that it??? lmao

An old lightning made me realize my car (90 Laser) was kinda quick at the time. With to 15's and a huge amp (altogether weight of 140 pounds,) I passed the guy at 60-65 mph. The next two lights he tres me again, same results. Two days later the system was out of the car, and sold, went to the track to run a 16.2 as my first 1/4 mile pass. By friday with no mods and new tires I had the car at a 15.6. Those were the days. I dunno if the lgihtning coudn't drive but he definately wasn't letting off.

this was still the new body style just not the newest lightning. not the old square lookin things

Back about 2.5 years ago I raced a Lightning on I-4 I belive it was a 94-95 newer body style and we did a 45-100mph run and I was pulling from him. And at the time I was running non innercooled set-up at 10psi with the Turbonetics T3/4 with Delta Gate. And it was on my '93 Toyota p-up 22RE. The lighning owner did not see that one coming from at little mini-truck! Man those where the days!! :D :cry: :cry: :thepimp:
