How do you all feel about staging a picnic like Tampa did? I really think we all need to get together more often. There are too many people who do not know everyone and I think some get togethers could change that. Let me know what you all think and I will begin to organize it! :skep:

I think the picnic would be a good idea. I'm not sure about parks in Orlando, but one with BBQ grills would be good. We could hit a Costco or something and pick up a bunch of hotdogs and hamburgers.

Sounds good to me too. I think Blanchard Park is the one close to the meet on Rouse Rd. There is also a park on E. Colonial and Dean Rd.

I am in also. But Sundays are better for me because I volunteer on Saturdays at Habitat For Humanity building houses. And it would be great to sit around and get fat on some BBQ

Good Deal.... Sunday I'm off and hardly ever get to the meets anymore. That would probably work good at Blanchard or in that area. I'll bring the Smirnoff Ice :D ...

i'm definately up for the picnic theres 2 parks locally here in Altamonte. One is a higher scale park with tons of coverage from the bbq aspect but you can't be near the cars really, but the other one has grills the cars would be insight and away from the other people etc. nice shade sand volleyball court right there, basketball court also open to public and the play ground :)
But the 2nd one actually goes into a nice circle court for parking etc etc i'm thinking it would be some nice pics.

i know its a little bit of a drive but what about turkylake park it has grills near pavilions and parking right next to the pavilion but you would need to call and reserve the pavillion beforhand i think plus they have a pool, vollyball courts, and a lake(no swimming) there is a huge playgroung for kids. pavillions are secluded there arn't a bunch next to each other. thats what i remember from the last time i was there but it might have changed a little over the years
btw it cost maybe 2 dollers to get in the park.

I was thinking Blanchard park would be ideal. you can grill, there are pavillions and you can be right next to your car, big +
