Hey all. I'm still working on upgrading the 14B to a 16G to use in my 3.1L Camaro...

A couple questions -

1) What's the part number, for the gasket that sits between the O2 housing, and the exhaust turbing housing?

2) Anywhere in Central Florida that can balance a turbo? Otherwise, I'm sending the shaft, both wheels, and the nut to Forced Performance (forcedperformance.net) to balance it - $37.50 + $8-$10 s/h Anyone recommend anyone, or just stick with FP?

3) Any particular oils you guys recommend? I'm running 15w50 Mobil 1 right now. I hear it's good to prevent turbo coking...

4) Does the stock wastegate exhibit any problems holding a small amount of boost (say 5-6psi), or will I need to upgrade to either an external wastegate, or the 34mm that FP has?

5) Just how the hell does the wastegate flapper come off? It almost looks like it was mounted on a rivet, on the rod that comes in from the outside hookup from the wastegate actuator!

6) What's the stock psi on an Eclipse, and what compression ratio does it have? I'm running 8.5:1 cr, iron heads/block, and thinking 12-14psi will be my cutoff point...

Thanks guys!

the only question i can answer is that the stock boost on an eclipse is about 10psi...give or take. i have a controller on my 14b and im pushing 15psi easy.

stock compression ratio on a 1g is 7.8:1 at 11psi and on the 2g its 8.5:1 at 14.5psi, but the 2g does not come with the 14b (comes with a smaller t-25), but does have forged pistons.:D

You can also get one from Fp. Scroll towards the bottom. (http://linux.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=FP&Category_Code=UNIV-GSFL)

Ouch... $10 for the gasket? I'll need to head over to the local Mitsu/Nissan dealer again - I just paid $3.86 for the inlet gasket - FP wants $10 minimum... no part numbers?

Turbo to O2 Gasket
#MD124575

I pulled this off another board. I have CAPs laying around here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it to double check it.

IIRC this is a <$5 part.

You guys want a list of common and not so common 1G DSM parts?

Forget ordering from Ft. Meyers, they no longer play the game.
This list has not been updated, there is a bunch more that can go on it.

For turbo balancing, you can call Charlie at Evergreen Turbo, and he is in your backyard. Look him up in the local ph book. He is located in Ocala
