Hey all. I'm still working on upgrading the 14B to a 16G to use in my 3.1L Camaro...
A couple questions -
1) What's the part number, for the gasket that sits between the O2 housing, and the exhaust turbing housing?
2) Anywhere in Central Florida that can balance a turbo? Otherwise, I'm sending the shaft, both wheels, and the nut to Forced Performance (forcedperformance.net) to balance it - $37.50 + $8-$10 s/h Anyone recommend anyone, or just stick with FP?
3) Any particular oils you guys recommend? I'm running 15w50 Mobil 1 right now. I hear it's good to prevent turbo coking...
4) Does the stock wastegate exhibit any problems holding a small amount of boost (say 5-6psi), or will I need to upgrade to either an external wastegate, or the 34mm that FP has?
5) Just how the hell does the wastegate flapper come off? It almost looks like it was mounted on a rivet, on the rod that comes in from the outside hookup from the wastegate actuator!
6) What's the stock psi on an Eclipse, and what compression ratio does it have? I'm running 8.5:1 cr, iron heads/block, and thinking 12-14psi will be my cutoff point...
Thanks guys!
