I am in the market for an EGT gauge, however almost have to get an autometer sport comp series to match the rest of gauges in the car already. This is my plan unless some of you have any input that will change my mind:confused: I am thinking that it would be really nice to have one that keeps peak temp but I may jusy have to watch gauge unless someone makes a gauge that has black face with silver lip?I was also wondering where i might go to get this installed, not so much the gauge just the probe? Is it something that can be taken to local exhaust place or must i go to a speed shop?
Thanks again,

Blitz has a nice gauge that's black face/silver lip. The peak features are ideal, but I'm happy with my Greddy non-peak hold EGT gauge. Apexi, is also a great gauge. Here are the Blitz products (http://www.blitz-na.com/Blitz_Products.htm), go to the guages. Pricey I'm sure.
Good luck

If I had to do it over again, I would get the SPA dual Boost/EGT gauge. I really wish I had sprung for the peak/hold/warning features as I prefer to focus on driving and not gauge-watching. Otherwise, I have the SportComp - spring for the better probe.
You won't go wrong with most of the Japanese brands.
Installing the probe really isn't that hard, but it's not something you want to fuck up either. The safest way is just to take the manifold off the car, drill and tap it, then hose it out with brake cleaner. Install the manifold, then your probe, and voila. You can also do it on the car with the engine running to blow and metal pieces out the manifold, but it is more risky.

Peak & hold is awesome, well worth the extra cost in my book.

Thanks for info guys but after further discussions with THE WOMEN i will be getting sport comp  , and i would have really liked the peak feture oh well win some lose some. Now where in the hell can I get this thing installed? I want to get this and have it installed before putting on new turbo for two reasons. One being so i can see just how rich or lean i am now, and two just incase they leave some slivers of metal they are not in my new turbo. Please let me know where i might go as i dont think i will doing this myself i am more into electrical then mechanical installations. :nerd:
thanks again
