Hopefully its the sensor that is screwy, and not the ECM, but would anyone happen to know a way to test the ecm? I just used the money (car's monthly allowance) to get gauges, and upgrade the turbo, and ported and tapped exhaust manifold. Either way, if I change the coolant temperature sensore, and the ECM is bad, I'm upgrading to a 95 socketed ECM. I'm curious what test may i do to the ecm to make sure it isn't bad so i'm not waisting money i could put to the ECM.

I would check the sensor firts. There should be something on troubleshooting it in the manual.

easiest way I can think of would be to put a ohm meter on it (off the car) and hold a lighter to it and watch for the resistance to change. if it changes it's good (most likely)

if it stays the same or reads no resistance it's bad.

Well, I'll find out tommorrow, I ordered the new sensor anyway. Figure what can it hurt to replace it. Oh well, better luck on the next one.
