Thumbs up Great Guy: JESTR Tuning - ECU repair/modification

Geez, there seems to be a lot of ECU's having problems lately.

I do DSM and EVO ECU tuning customized to your modifications.

I can also socket eproms, swap out caps, and do minor ECU repair (not limited to just DSM ecu's)!

Also, if you guys have any dead ecu's laying around, you can donate them to me!

    Peace and turbo grease.

I've had lots of good experience with Mr. Estrada as have many other club members. He's my official ECU man.
I used to be kind of a big deal on the internet.

John as usual is awesome at what he does. I went over there for some help on my car. And he solved all my problems... If you are ever having ECU problems or want to get some upgrades or reflashes, I recommend you to JESTR Tunning.

Welp, i gotta add another helped out guy to the list.
Few days ago my car just started dieing randomly, and wouldnt run for more than 5 minutes at a time. after a day or 2 of running around looking for a fuel pump relay, i talked to john an he told meit was my ECU.

Defenitly an awesome guy, he came all the way to sanford and hooked me up with a 90 ECU, when i was stuck out here with nothing else to drive.

    Awesome work

    What a God send!

I really can't thank John enough for helping me out over the last couple of days. His experience and knowledge was more than helpful. We figured out that my ECU was burned all to hell and within a couple of hours he had it fixed, at which point I installed it back into my car and it runs great. I highly recommend his expertise to anyone that may need their ECU repaired.

    Thanks again John

Just wanted to throw in my big thanks to John at Jestr Tuning for the Flash in my EVO.

The car idles much better (with the PITA HKS RS intake), and the car is faster than it was using the AFC.

    Thanks again bro.

    Another Bump/Plug for Jestr Tuning.

Flash was great and right on the money. Increased tourqe/hp. I love the fact that its stealth. The car runs great and that means alot when you spend you hard earned money. This is a great mod with so many gains and little money spent.

Well see what happens at the next Dyno day (CFT?)

    Thumbs up JestrTuning

Well guys...i had a problem starting my car recently...pulled the ecu to find out the caps leaked all over the place and also found out it was E-prom. Well the first thing i done was contact john at jestr...he took care of the problem right away....then he mentioned he can put a stage 3 JESTR chip in there for me with his custom programming for a low low price i dont wanna disclose about (its that low). Well he got the ECU..socketed it, chiped it, new caps...i recieved it today put it in...and the car fired right up...Man im so happy I cant wait for john to get his hands on it at a dyno day. E-prom really is worth it with all the new added features (no fuel cut, stutterbox)...man its great....john ur the man.

Edit: Corrected post to read "stage 3 JESTR chip." - JT

I wanted to post my most recent experience at Johns' (Jestr).
I called John about 3 weeks ago and told him I wanted to change a few things with my car and tune. He offered to loan me his own pocket logger for a few days. I never got around to picking the logger up, but I though, man, that is some nice offer. I then called him a few days ago and asked him to re-work my flash and he told me to come that same day to have it done. I got there, and he greated me with open arms and a smile. Showed me a new tune he had and all the improvements he has made to the Evo flash. Then, he customized the fuel tables and other things, taking his time to make sure everything was perfect. All, while explaining how everything worked and the things it would do. I can tell you, no ther tuner does that let alone in that much detail. When he was done, he sayed to me "go and run those nice times you are looking for". He had told me to zero out the AFC. So I was now on my way to the track. On my wide band, the A/F's were perfect, the car was responsive, and smooth all the way to redline. All the flashes I had, and this one I was able to notice a difference in gain. Guess what? That nite I only was able to make one run, and the car performed like never before. Everyone noticed the difference at the track. Thanks John, your work is appreciated very much.

John, I can't say enough thanks to you and getting that EPROM ECU situated for me. No more fuel cut, the check engine light as a shift light is trick, and the throttle and boost response is phenomenal. I'm speechless to how the car spools up on the low end and just keeps pulling and pulling to redline. Now that you've set me up for launch control, I have to start thinking about an LSD. You gotta love FWD. The whole way home to Jacksonville was the most fun I'd ever had playing at 21psi! I'm nominating you for President!

    new to this stuff

Hey guys how are you? I just joined this site cause I want to start working on my gsx alot more now. I have an ECU at home from my original gsx but it died. I bought a new ECU from a 97 gst. I want to get my original ecu fixed and put it back in the car. It was smaller and didn't interfere with the climate controls. Can I have some information on Jon and how much it would cost. Thanks a million. I can't wait to meet up with all you guys and girls and hang out with all of you.

I would submit, Your Honor, that if someone is doing something demonstrably asinine, and I ask them to stop it, please, and they say, "Make us," they've entered a binding oral contract whereby I am permitted, even obligated, to try to make them.

This is not the Forum for an introduction.
You can get in touch with John, not Jon, by clicking on the Link given in the very first post of this thread.
Jestr Tuning. Then you click on the right side of his web page on about us, and you will see his email. This thread was posted as a sticky in this Forum so that all of us can give feed-back on his performed work and services. By posting anything else in here, other than feed-back on good and services from John, it makes this thread less ussefull to everyone including new members such as yourself.
Thank you very much, and wellcome to Orl.DSM.
